School is out for the summer which means that her 16-year old mind has time to wander. Today, she greeted me as I walked in from work with her own first lines to Primary songs that she last sang 9 years ago. Enjoy.

"The Prophet said to plant a garden- dumb, dumb, dumb, dumb, dumb."

"Follow the Prophet, follow the prophet, follow the prophet- He's a closet gay." She thinks TSM is in the closet.

"The chapel doors seem to say to me- I feel ill."

"Happy happy birthday children dear; you can celebrate but not with beer."

"I love to see the temple, I'm going there someday. To sit out on the benches, on my best friend's wedding day. Oh, the temple is the place to go when you have paid your tithing. I'll prepare myself when I am young; by not falling for your lying."

She was at her LDS friend's house this morning and her mom plays church music all day on their iHome so my daughter had her fill of Primary songs.

Oh my goodness, I love your daughter! I love her variation of "I love to see the temple". I think I'll sing it to my TBM relatives next time I see them when they try to hijack my camping trip by making it "spiritual".

Suck, Suck, ye Saints
No toil nor labor here
but with God you will pay

Though hard to you
your earnings may appear
But with joy, send our way

'Tis better far for you to strive
Your useful cars for us to drive;
Do this and joy our church will swell —
All is well! All is well!

We used to have a lot of alternate lyricists on this Board. I miss that. I'm thinking maybe Stray Mutt used to do a lot. Somewhere in the archives I have some of the songs people have posted such as "Ere you Left Your Room This Morning, Did You Pray to Think," "Mamas Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up to be Thinkers," "Follow the Profit," and some other great ones.

I love your daughter's take on the birthday song.
