Scientology plus 180 years

So I just came across this editorial piece on another board that talks about religious belief and if Mormonism is any weirder than any other belief system. The South Park clip on the summed the idea up pretty well. (warning: it is south park so......)

I mean for all it's attempts to be mainstream Mormonism is still really Scientology light. The fact that Romney appears to buy into it— even the weird parts— makes me question him as POTUS.

Clearly Scientology is way out there. I enjoy watching Tom Cruise because he is insane. Thank you Hubbard for adding to Tom Cruises' nutso.

Wow! That is probably the hardest look Sullivan has ever taken at the Mormons.

I still think he's too soft on religion in general.
