Even though I've learned the truth about the church, it still sickens me to know that the early Mormons murdered innocent people in the name of their god.
Who could hold down a small child, slit their throat and hold them down until they bled out? Who could then pick that child up and throw it in a hole and throw dirt over it.
Who could take a small child by the leg and swing it over and over so forcefully that her head gets bashed in on a wagon wheel? I can't imagine what kind of mind that is.
Then they conspire for the rest of their lives to cover it up. These people claim they are gods chosen. God can have them.
Let's not forget the three men who left Powell's expedition early either. Not so horrific as these massacres, but just another example of murdering, blaming it on the Indians, and taking an oath of secrecy. It makes you wonder how many murders the Mormons have committed for riches, apostasy, or because they felt like it on innocent people.
And I don't want to hear TBMs blaming it on the era they lived in. Trading a child for a horse? Slaughtering them like animals? Just sick. The more I learn the more I am ashamed to ever have been associated with the church.
