I do. And to tell the truth I don't think I've ever heard it used in any other settings than in moism and movies/books/magazines (etc) made in the 40's and 50's. ;)
"Sweet spirit" is their way of patronizing someone and being polite about it. The same way they told me that I had a "special" purpose in life because I wasn't married by 25. The same way two-faced RM roommates and coworkers would give me the ole' shoulder rub a lot more when the gossip about me was on overdrive.
Years ago, David Letterman would hold some awful food product up to the camera and say, "It's full of wholesome goodness." It never failed to get a laugh.
I don't like the words "character" and "humble". I hear those words from my LDS loved ones waaaaay too much and that is how they see their fellow pew sitters.

Wholesome entertainment= something with nothing sexual at all in it.
Wholesome attire= clothing designed to make people not notice that you are a good-looking sexual being.
It’s also a subtle way to reinforce that sex is bad. Which then tends to screw people up even when the gates are opened and they are sealed in the Temple and can have sex.
"seed of the loins", and children coming from the loins of some man (repeated in the scriptures often).
In all honesty, the seed is the only thing the man contributed. The woman contributed just as much starter seed, and then grew the child, birthed it, fed it, etc. but the man gets the glory like he did all that?
I hate that phrase partly for the sexism, and partly because it's just stupid and sounds base.
GOD yes I hate that word! I hate it like I hate "white and delightsome" or "special spirit". I hate how it's been twisted and perverted into something self-righteous and uniquely, arrogantly Mormon. To my ears, it's the verbal equivalent of nails on a chalkboard :O
