This one actually looks kind of cool.

It looks like they are at least trying to blend a little local flavor.

It does look better than some of their temples. Personally, I'm not into white (it gets dirty to easily). I like color.

Much better than the norm.

I hate to ask, but...is that a cross on the door?

It looks like they are already making plans to sell it to the Catholics, once membership numbers drop to much to justify keeping it.

I was thinking that, too. Very "Catholic-esque" design. :-)

Definitely. In fact, I'd even like to visit, if it were anywhere nearby. I wonder how many of the Tijuanan members would prefer this new temple over that Disney-esque monstrosity they're currently using in San Diego? When the numbers of attendees shrivel away to practically nothing, COJCLDS could turn it into a profit-making theme park--CelestialLand! Give Disney some competition.

I like it too... but I think the temples look better like this:

I agree. Somehow this one almost comes to life.

Blending the architecture with local flavor usually comes off crass and contrived, but for some reason, this building looks more pleasing. That's just an old gringo's opinion though. I'd have to ask a Mexican. I suspect she'd find it a bit disturbing.

Wow, this one makes the Mexico City temple look like crap.

Does anyone know why TSCC built so damn many McTemples in Mexico in such a short period of time? According to that website, all but the one in Monterrey went up in 1999 and 2000.

Does the Tijuana temple come with an underground tunnel to the U.S.?

Take the tbms $ at the cash registers
on the ground floor in the temple...

Meanwhile, in the basement tunnel,
the drug trafficking/ human trafficking can commence..

After all, the perpetual enslavement..er, emigration fund
was the original human trafficking source for the "prophets" in SLC.

Maybe they can connect the tijuana temple to the san Diego temple.
PERFECT cover for moving los drugas ...

Sorry, I have a conspiracy-tilted imagination.
Carry on....

I like the mission style and I think the church needs to do a better job of fitting in locally. So, yeah, I'll give it a slight improvement.

the design of Mexican architecture. And yes it'll be a much more popular temple if they were to install an underground tunnel to the states. Place the stairs to the tunnel in the celestial room, then it'll have a much more appriate meaning.
