So a mormon friend posted a picture of a dad playing with his kid. The caption read "it is easier to build up a child than to repair an adult." The post show the picture came from the Proclamation to the Family's facebook page. I think my jaw dropped down to my feet. The church of do what we say or lose your family forever thinks it knows how to build up children. .I'd appreciate any help coming up with comments to post

"Therefore, keep him away from the Mormon Church's cult practices. Raise him with unconditional love, instead."

How about:

"It is easier to kick your gay kid out of your Proclamated Family than it is to quit your bigoted cult."

Or maybe you wanted to stay on good terms with the person...in which case I can't help you, LOL!

Kids also believe in Satan and the Easter bunny, but that doesn't make it right!

In a child, there's nothing to brainwash.

Hmm, yes, something about unconditional love, reference the Talk "Love and Law", the church doesn't believe in unconditional love.
Obviously the church is not as good at raising children as gentiles, who have unconditional love. In many cases, at least.

My recommendation would be to block the posts of TBM friends (at least the ones that like to post a lot of uber-Mormon stories) from showing up in your Facebook feed - this sort of thing has also been causing me a lot of mental anguish lately. Life is too short to have to worry about stuff like this, especially as speaking up will usually just get you branded as an angry ex-Mo.
