I am aware of the unusual clustering of MLM companies in Utah (and Idaho to a lesser extent). Some of this may be the popularity of MLMs in TBM culture (chance for stay at home mom to run a home business, people see the ward as a customer list, etc.) but I have read in several sources that Utah's laws regulating MLMs are much more MLM-friendly than in other states.

For those in the know,

1. Did Utah change its laws to make them more MLM-friendly??

or

2. Did other states enact regulations which discouraged MLMs, while Utah did nothing (and thus would become a MLM haven by inaction and not responding to the phenomenon)??

Thanks in advance for your answers.
