Monson's new book with a tape so children can hear him read the story.

Its a Christmas themed story and I can't imagine anybody wanting to listen to Monson reading it.

All the hype about these LDS books to buy for Christmas gifts is a little overwhelming. All I can see are the dollar signs as the revenue pours into the coffers of these 'writers'.

Yes, I live in Utah. This time of year tends to set me on edge with all the Seagull Book ads and Deseret Book commercials. Religion is a big business and goes far beyond the 10% tithes required. Members feel guilty if they don't get these new items for their family so the prophet's voice can be heard.

It makes me cringe.

Can you order it direct, or do you have to claim it as the prize from a box of count chocula?

Also, a tape? Do I have to travel back to the 1980s to find a walkman so I can listen to this?
