So I happened to be in the library at my school this morning when the librarian opened a package from a Nathan Jessop of the FLDS Church with a copy of a large, black hard cover book entitled Jesus Christ Message to All Nations. Knowing my LDS background she gave me the book as a joke. It appears to be revelations given to Warren Jeffs by Jesus Christ son Ahman???

Does anyone know ANYTHINg about this book? Why would it be shipped to my Catholic High School in Seattle? Did it get sent all over?

Info please!

We received one today as well at a Catholic school in NH. Probably just a blanketed unsolicited mailing by Nathan Jessop

Apparently there have been very many of these sent around the world. In Europe the Area Presidency put out some information requesting that members notify them of any books/writings that they come across.

The GA's letter came across as so serious and paranoid. Honestly, as nutty as Jeffs & FLDS are, they're probably closer to 'God's only true & restored' church in 1830 than the LDS are.

So they try to claim that they have nothing to do with the FLDS church, and they are completely separate. So why do the 'brethren' care what the FLDS send out? Do they also spy on whatever any other religion sends to a library?

According to a librarian list serve I belong to in Pennsylvania, public schools have been getting these unsolicited books via FedEx.

The PUBLIC school I attend received a copy of this book in the mail today. It was sent directly to our media specialist (librarian). Our school is one of the top in the nation, and we have absolutely no religious affiliation, hence our being public. This is very strange, but I am interested to hear that other schools are receiving this book as well. It was a large black volume with gold lettering on the front: "Jesus Christ Message to All Nations".

I suggest you don't send it back. They will just send it to another person. Write them if you must but get rid of the stuff for good. Keep Looking Up!

I wouldn't pollute my Kindle with such crap!

Besides, his followers would undoubtedly not be allowed to read it, right? Doesn't Lord and Master Warren have a rule against computers etc?

My friend got on the mailing list somehow. He posts some of the more hilarious revelations on Facebook. In the past, he has gotten revelations for individual US states and countries and details of how they will be gratuitously destroyed. They should put Jeffs to work stamping license plates or something.

I just got a message on the Wisconsin Librarian Listserv that all WI schools have received 2 packages: the book and a separate printout of all of Jeffs' prophecies for the world. Disgusting!

I've been picking through it and it is absolutely fascinating and also super, super crazy. Like, I had no idea how absolutely nutso this guy really is. I knew he was corrupt and that all kinds of evil things go down with the FLDS, but the book is completely insane. If you have a lot of time on your hands and you are interested, get your hands on a copy (just call a local school or library and tell them you'll take it off their hands....)

I work at a County Courthouse in Michigan and we received a large box with 8 individual boxes inside with this book addressed to each one of our leaders!

We were getting a great deal of mail from them for months prior to this large shipment. It amazes me how much money $$$ they have spent on not only printing all these materials, let alone the shipping costs, only to end up in FILE 13!!! What a waste of money!

I hope people wise up and quit sending him and/or the organization their hard-earned money for this waste!!! Wake up people!

I know it was $1000 a month for a long time but it might even be higher now.

Don't some libraries save these books? I'm assuming that any library has a general disclaimer that they do not necessarily endorse any book that comes into their possession. That's not their job as their job is to be a repository for books/information from all stripes of persuasions and thinking.

Do the guys at corporate not understand that pretty much everybody outside the Mormon corridor still thinks that there isno difference between Jeff's outfit and the gang og 15?

Are there scans of this around?

Does he make any falsifiable claims? Like giving a date for any prophecies?

That isn't geologically possible at the moment although it COULD be subject to a tidal surge because of a tidal wave. The aren't the same thing, though.

Someone posted a scan of one of these revelations on the Mormon Expression VIP lounge. It is absolutely hilarious. Warren Jeffs is the true successor to Joseph Smith.

Yes, would love to read some, too.

What's the end result here, as they won't be housed in public schools, govt. or other public buildings, churches other than their own--and even then, only those deemed worthy to read them. Is this their burping blitzkrieg in response to Jeffs' prosecution?

Libraries aren't under obligation to be mandated repositories. School curricula don't allow many such books and public libraries often fight many of the classics from adult to YA lit, not to mention this sort of iconoclastic rhetoric. Only in a place like Carnegie or Smithsonian would I see any use for such foolishness (and the Smithsonian long ago tired of the BOM crap, so I'm sure they're equally thrilled at this nonsense).

I work as a librarian at the Telemark University College Library in Norway, and we've been on the FLDS mailing list for a while apparently.

Today we recieved one copy of the book in question. I just wander if anyone have heard how many copies have been sent worldwide? The sums of money spent on this must be considerable.

I am a Pastor of a (UPC) United Pentecostal Church in North Bay Ontario Canada. I received this book today Jan 8,2013. I will not read it, keep it or even give it away. The Holy Bible is Gods word to man so I'm sticking with it.

I work for the Post Office. For months the FlDS have been sending these revelations to all LDS chapels. Only problem is LDS chapels have no mailboxes. you have to know the home address of the bishop. And since they're not sent first class they just go in the trash. So they don't get returned to sender. The FLDS have no idea they've been wasting all this money sending these revelations out to all the LDS churches.

I am a student at a small High School in Michigan, and our librarian recieved a copy of this book from the FLDS recently. Needless to say, the book landed in the garbage rather quickly.
