"She sees the LDS Church's new emphasis as a reflection of the way Monson has lived."

I stand all amazed at the "new emphasis" to help needy and poor assuming they don't have to be Mormon. Money + Mouthpiece of the Lord I don't see.

It has been 3 years and I don't see a whole lot of evidence of their helping hands outside of disaster photo opts.

So nice to have an old guy who can sort you and guide you through making life's tough choices like, "Should I help people, or no?" Or, "Is it good to be charitable?" Or possibly, "Should I be nice to that homeless guy or kick him in the nuts?" Where would we be without the Mouthpiece of the Lord? It would be so difficult not to be told these things, to have to figure them out on our own.
