I honestly don't know how he avoids getting kicked out of the church time and time again because of his edgy column, and frankly, I salute him.
He sees through the b.s. and calls the church on it constantly. I can't keep from grinning from ear to ear everytime I read him excoriating the church for completely justifiable reasons, with plenty of humor mixed in. I only wonder why he doesn't just leave himself.
I think his wife is still a TBM, and he loves her and wants to stay married, so he stays in, if in name only.
Oh well. He's still a voice of reason in this beautiful but crazy state of Utah in which I live. I myself haven't officially resigned, partially because I have an elderly mother who's a TBM, and I don't want to strain our already tenuous relationship when she could leave this life at any time now.
I guess I'll just have to be content with snickering and high-fiving good ol' Bobby while I'm reading his column and sipping my coffee, and try not to spew all over my mom's Ensign magazines on her "Postum" table.
