"The Invention of Lying"

The strange thing for me was when I was comparing and contrasting Joseph Smith, Mohamed, and the main character. The only likable one was fictional. But basically, Smith and Mohamed stumbled upon something that is fictionally represented in the main character as something "snapping" in his brain. If Smith and Mohamed were more crazy than opportunist they still come across as less likable.

I would love to "spoil" this show for you - I just watched it last night - but I won't.

Ha! I watched this while I was questioning. It all clicked for me during that show.

Its a good one for sure. Funny thing is, my very TBM family all loved it too, but they didn't make any connections what so ever.

I need to watch that again. It was funny, but when I first watched it, I didn't like its central themes. I don't disagree so much any more.

It is a very sly slap at Mormonism - intended or not.
