We were threatened with it if we didn't resign because we were "disturbing others" and "too influential". All we did was have people over, answer questions they had (if asked), and we defended ourselves via email against the gossip going on in our ward. Apparently that's all you have to do. Tell the truth.
Technically, the HB states that you have to teach doctrines contrary to the church in public settings. Or you have to persistently defy a leaders authority.
If you want it to happen you need to go way over the top. Send out something to every member in the stake. Get up every fast meeting and bear your untestimony. Offer faith destructive stories as comments in every class room. This is the only way to really insure that it happens.
It is a lot easier to resign than it is to be the Antichrist.
Just announce to the ward that Joseph Smith was a fraud and a con man. They'll probably tell you to repent. Don't. I would imagine that that'll be enough to get you exed.
