I have generally stuck to the basic beer/wine/spirits, but then I decided one day to make an Old Fashioned (no fruit of course), and I found that I really liked it. I like the taste of whiskey itself, so this drink is a good one for me because it doesn't dilute the whiskey too much.

What is your favorite cocktail?

Margarita made with Patron, Cointreau, and fresh lime juice.
Shake and strain through the ice.
Oh mama.

But the two I drink the most are Cape Cods and Extra Dry Vodka Martinis.

I don't turn down Cuba Libres, MelonBalls, or blended drinks for the most part.

I dislike most brown liquors and I stay away from tequila.

I think my favorite cocktail so far is a white russian. So good and easy to make. There's so many i haven't tried though! And it's hard to beat a nice scotch

My tastes vary from time to time, but vodka-laced fruit and berry drinks with orange or lime garnishments usually work for me.

Bourbon is a delicacy. On the rocks or not. Best mixer: coke.

White Russians are smooth and soothing.

Mint Juleps are cool and refreshing.

Can't forget Irish Coffee, the double word of wisdom violater.

Canadian Club and 7-up.

I like margaritas, especially during the summertime. For the occasional festive brunch, a bloody Mary or a mimosa is nice. I feel a bit sentimental about vodka tonics, because for my mom's eastern European family, it was a go-to drink. The occasional G&T can be refreshing on a hot day as well.

I've gone through phases:
Vodka and Cranberry
Long Island Iced Tea
Jack and Coke
Now I'm on to Jack and Ginger Ale, but I still get Long Islands when I want to get real drunk real fast. More bang for the buck!

I like tanqueray and tonic with a twist of lime.

I also like margaritas.

Vodka and Grapefruit juice
Vodka, cranberry and lime.

I tried one at a McMenamins that was fresh squeezed grapefruit juice, grapefruit vodka, and pomegranate liqueur. It was divine, so I bought the stuff to make it at home. Yummo!

Vodka Collins & bloody marys work for me. I won't say no to a good margarita, though :)

Mint juleps, mojitos. Mint, apparently, is just tops in liquor.

I use the tequila sunrise as my benchmark drink for a new bar. If they screw up the flavor (which takes some truly bad bartending), no more mixed drinks from them. Bonus points for actually making it correctly (floating the grenadine), which almost nobody does anymore.

A personal favorite is my own invention, the "Del Monte:" coconut rum and pineapple juice, floated with cranberry. Tastes like sucking the syrup out of one of the cherries in a cup of canned fruit cocktail.

Gin and tonic is just plain refreshing, but I demand a lime garnish that I can smash in the bottom of the glass. Rose's Lime is *not* an acceptable substitute.

I love pretty much anything with rum in it though.

Gin and tonic, Cosmopolitan, bloody mary and tropical vodka martinis, such as blood orange martini.

Caipirinha has recently become one of my favorites, although it's difficult to get where I live, and I only really drink it if I'm okay with getting pretty drunk in a short amount of time.

Tatanka (Żubrówka mixed with apple juice) tastes just like apple pie. But Żubrówka is impossible to buy in the US, unfortunately.

Rum & coke or SoCo & lime, are usually my old standbys. Actually, I really enjoy stuff made with rum in general, but I have to be careful because it can give me really bad indigestion for some reason, LOL.

Rum & coke. Perfer Myers Rum mostly...

In the cold Tokyo winters I like to sip hot Baileys.

Put a generous handful of ice in a glass and add (Malibu) coconut rum to taste. Fill the remainder of the glass with pineapple juice and enjoy!

Lemon drop martini. Can't say I've tried very many, but that one I do like. And of course I like piña coladas and those types of fruity drinks, but that's when I'm not in the mood for anything hard.

I generally prefer straight cognac, fireball whisky, rum with ice, tequila. Or a good ol' beer.

I'm having a lot of fun comparing different types of gin. I had no idea there were so many until I started looking around.

So far the international gin I like best is Bombay Sapphire, but I found a locally made brand called Counter that I think is better.

And love those olives! It's almost like having dessert after you finish your drink.

I love the olives, too! Yum! Sometimes when I am sitting at the bar I ask the bar tender to bring me some olives.

Sex on the beach is my ultimate fave, but I usually drink Vodka club soda with fresh lime because I am cutting back on calories.

For some reason when I try to imagine those flavors the only word that comes into my head is "Smush" (pronounced as rhyming with 'much,' not 'pooch'). It just sounds so squishy and good, like a ripe slice of mango (or, you know, guava).

Tanqueray & Tonic with a twist of lime.

Not into sugary/rum drinks for some reason, I like a clean taste.

If it's early in the day, Bloody Mary.
