A TBM doesn't believe that there is counsel to marry young & not wait to have kids until you are done with education or are financially stable.

I can't seem to find it, and was looking for some quick help.
Thanks in advance,
-Rob

There was a president Kimball talk and his quote went like this..."mission, marriage, children, education, in that order....". Maybe I can find it...

This is what I found so far:
http://emp.byui.edu/SatterfieldB/Quotes/Birth%20Control%20Family%20Size.htm
(Harold Lee, SWK, and ETB)

http://www.lds.org/ensign/1988/09/in-his-steps?lang=eng&query=children+delay+education
"God has a timetable, or a sequence or season, for every good thing. A mission, when the time arrives, takes priority over marriage and education. When one is mature enough and has found the right companion, then marriage should not be delayed for education. While all three—mission, marriage, and education—are essential, there is a proper time for each."

A more recent article about having kids

http://www.mormonthink.com/QUOTES/birthcontrol.htm
More focused on Birth Control, but a lot applies since that's how people delay having kids.

Any other gems I'm missing?

claimed the church doesn't teach this anymore and quoted some high relief society woman. I didn't have the heart to tell her that what a "woman" says doesn't count

Does it really matter if the LDS corporation claims 'we do not teach that anymore?'

Is there no accountability to these people?!? They have caused some serious and very real damage to people over the years. They should not be able to walk away from their hateful, bloody, and damaging history.

They have been active enough in the political arena that should not only be accountable to criticism, they should be investigated for tax evasion, and many of their profiteers should be sent to prison.

"I think no more of taking another wife than I do of buying a cow." - Apostle Heber C. Kimball, The Twenty Seventh Wife, Irving Wallace, p. 101.

Thanks for the help, all.
There's some good stuff there that I will forward to my TBM friend.
