I'm sure she was raised Mormon, but she doesn't mention it in the article:

http://news.yahoo.com/why-women-dont-children-enjoy-fulfilling-life-160600403.html

"I grew up in Utah surrounded by a plethora of female friends, neighbors, acquaintances and family members who all subscribed to the time-honored tradition that it's a woman's primary duty to bear as many children as possible. The reasoning was that you were born female and not by chance; ergo, your purpose in life was to have children, support your husband emotionally, and raise a family that will grow up to share wholesome values."

One of the things that cause me to loathe TSCC is that they always, always have to attach the value of life to heterosexual marriage and kids...

Life, to me, is of great worth without these arbitrary conditions...and we should just live it to the fullest...with or without marriage and kids....

actually, it is proven that women live longer healthier lives when they have at least one, more than 7 and it will kill you faster

1. "it is proven that women live longer healthier lives"

credible source please?

2. Why not allow everyone to define "fulfilling" for himself or herself? Why harp on one definition and demonize everyone else who dares to opine and choose differently--as if TSCC had all the powers of and over heaven and earth?

"Am I a greedy feminist-capitalist pig living high-on-the-hog in the New York City area who has sacrificed all of the joys and rewards of motherhood "just" for the sake of starting and operating my own business? Probably."

Wow its sad that she thinks this.

It took me 15 years of marriage to decide I wanted kids. I have 2 and I am glad I do.

I was raised in a too big Mormon family and was woken up on a regular basis at 2, 3, 4am to take care of babies because "your poor mother needs to rest".

My very TBM cuz lives in Utah and she has never married at age 66.

So, how does this play out in the Moism scheme of things?

Will she just latch on to a polygamist in the CK?

Will she have children that are sealed to her?

Oh wait; that nullifies the need to have a man here and replenish the Earth.

So fuggin confusin......
