Mormon's believe their version of god is a space alien. I told my TBM mother that a few weeks ago and she disagreed with me. At least until I reminded her that she believes god lives on a planet (not earth) somewhere out is space. Since god does not live on earth, he would be an alien, a space alien. Reminds me of the Star Trek TV show where a Space Alien wanted Kirk and crew to worship him.

And, technically, we are hosts to alien parasites, since our spirits were born on God's other planet and then transplanted into physical bodies here on Earth.

For a minute I thought I was reading the Recovering from Scientology board! Well they do have SOME things in common after all.

My mom thinks that Jesus is going to come again on a space ship. She says that is where the term "Chariot of Fire" came from. Ancient people without a vocabulary word to describe intergalactic travel and space ships.

The sad part of this is when she told me, I was so happy she was thinking outside the Mormon box, the space ship idea didn't even phase me. My teenage daughter thought Grandma was a hoot.

Mormonism = Stargate!

The various aliens from that show were all about flying around the universe being worshiped as gods! I can think of 3 races that pretty much did this full time. Even one of the humans got in on that action in one episode.
