The Boston Blazers lacrosse team has gotten itself into some hot water with a hot halftime show featuring semi-nude members of the pom-pom squad doing the bump and grind in the groin area of the team mascot. Morality aside (since, after all, the Mormon Church has never been known for being that morally straight when it comes to making money), maybe BYU should guarantee steady (x)Y gate receipts as it tries to impersonate a true gridiron giant--Notre Dame--by going indy. Cosmo and the Go-Go's. Can't ya just see it now? Read and watch!

"Blazers bosses have come in for criticism after an amateur video was posted on YouTube showing a risqué half-time performance where Scorch - the team mascot - was treated to three different lapdances from cheerleaders in the middle of the pitch.

"The crowd, which included a fair few children attending with their parents, were then encouraged to decide which performance was the best after watching the girls gyrating on the mascot's lap for about 20 seconds each.

"If we're being kind, the reaction of fans at the game was mixed - with several boos clearly heard around the stands.
A few dads just sat quietly and watched before being encouraged to boo by their wives, which they duly did. Our favourite bid of the video is the kid in the red jumper going down a few rows to chat to his friends about it - and get a closer look while he's at it - about two-thirds of the way through.

"Club president Doug Reffue apologized on their official Facebook page, saying the act 'was clearly not executed according to plan.' 'We had intended to provide an entertaining and fun half-time environment for our fans and that is not what transpired,' he added.

"While some supporters clearly weren't too happy - with one saying it was in 'very bad taste' - some (notably male) fans enjoyed it One wrote on the Facebook page that he found the whole thing 'hilarious' and 'a great laugh', while another described it as 'just a bit of fun' and questioned those who were offended by it."
