Up in the NW corner of WA, near Bellingham, a single mom TBM did the following activity last Thurs & Fri. She spent several hours preparing stand-alone "packets" for her children to keep them busy & entertained by themselves, so she could concentrate on watching General Conference. The packets contained puzzles, card games, Cheerios and other snacks, a fake cell phone for them to play with, and an LDS church "name that General Authority" photo game challenge. Amazing....

And she wasn't alone by any means.

Just imagine if people like this could use their energy towards something really helpful and productive.

My mom never made me a packet. She just kept telling us to be quiet. We usually listened on the radio or later, streaming from the internet. My mom and dad would lay down on the living room floor and "rest their eyes" while listening.

Oddly enough, they managed to get the messages while snoring.

Nothing like a fun game of name the geezers.

Why doesn't she just lock them in their rooms with food, water and a bucket? Keep those brats quiet while she gets all guilt tripped out so she can feel terrible about herself.
