Sunday School

I teach youth Sunday school and this week we talked about discovering truth vs rumor. It was a great way for me to tell kids to research their questions. We started out class having them list rumors and "truths" they hear from others about the church. Polygamy and racism were a big part of it. I told them they each must study to find the truth. They have to read ponder and ask for answers. I then used my favorite Prophetic quote:


“Well, we have nothing to hide. Our history is an open book. They may find what they are looking for, but the fact is the history of the church is clear and open and leads to faith and strength and virtues.”thanks GBH (and mormon think)

So, should I expect a call this week for the LDS Police?

Excellent!! And if they remove you from teaching Sunday School the kids will know it was because you asked them to research their questions.
