Readig CAGirl's post about the church trying to grab more money from the faithful reminded me of this.

We were visiting a Spanish ward and there was visit by the Stake President, the Bishop (or maybe was one of the counselors) was translating. At some point the SP said that young men needed to serve missions, blah blah blah, and that they needed to save money to pay for their own and not depend on the church (members) to finance their missions. The person translated all the blah blah blah and those who don't have money to pay for the missions could go and the church would pay for them. I was shocked and always wondered if this was a translation error or if it was said on purpose.

This is what I hope it's happening at lds inc. They asked missionaries to come and serve and these YM and YW heard come we'll pay for your missions. LOL
