Obviously not a criminal with any LDS background or they'd know that these buildings are essentially empty. Even the chalk and erasers are locked up in another room.

Also, a stake center was under construction when rolls of carpeting waiting to be installed were stolen. Later, the security and decorative lighting outside was stolen. And in many locations, people have broken in only to vandalize the place.

They stole the security lights? Why would they want them if they were so obviously no doing their job?

ROFL

Now that's a picture I'd like to see - a sacrament tray full of jello shots being passed to the members.

Hmmmmm. . . . . as Gru would say, "Lightbulb!"

Specifically, to get a load of cult-grade bulls***.

A building in the area was broken into last year and they stole the speakers for the organ and a couple of the clerks computers. They also got the bishops projecter that he borrowed from the school he worked at.

Shell said: "also got the bishops projecter that he borrowed from the school"
Should read: got the bishops projector that he "borrowed on the no return plan" from school.

And you have to checkout and return the chalk and erasers from the library.

White boards suck. I'll take a chalkboard any day.

Our friend who is a ward clerk said that the church doesn't want to shift to white boards because of the mess the marker erasures make on the carpet.

There was no evidence of anything missing but the screens.

That is how my mom's car was stolen a few years ago.

She accidentally left her purse in the YW cupboard one Sunday. Since it was locked up, she figured she would just pick it up the next morning when she drove the kids to seminary. That night, the church was robbed and they busted open every cupboard, stole a bunch of useless stuff and my mom's purse.

The burglars found her address on her drivers license, drove to her house and stole her car (keys were in the purse too).

I heard they also stole the bishop's huge candy stash in his office. He was pretty sad.

In poor countries, the lds church buildings have expensive electronics, microphones, generators, etc. Everywhere else, I have no idea.

I still have the security code for my ward's building. I have no inclination nor desire to use it whatsoever to cause any kind of mischief. I will sell it for money, though. Do you have any money? You can buy anything in this world with money.

Hahahaha! The comment about sacrament cups being used for jello shots made me remember and laugh: around Christmas for a few years before we left I would snag a big handful of unused plastic sacrament water cups and use them as the molds for maraschino cherry chocolate bells. They worked GREAT. Funny, I never felt guilty doing it!! And people always wondered where I got the molds and made them so uniformly perfect :o)
