One of the lessons I taught, as a sales trainer, pertained to the formula, Skill X Effort = Results.
For example, if your level of Skill was a "1" and your level of Effort was a "1"
you could expect your level of results to be a "1."
In other words, a salesperson could expect minimal results,
only falling into sales that required no salesmanship.
However, if they could get both their Skill & Effort levels up to a 4 each,
they could expect an exponential effect with their level of results being around a 16.
This formula held true, unless a new salespeople's wound up in an area
were the market conditions were abnormal.
Unfortunately, (actually fortunately) the market conditions for Mormon missionaries
has tanked in those parts the of world where the internet is easily accessible.
It doesn't matter how high their Skill and/or Effort level is,
it doesn't matter what sales system they use (i.e. door to door, internet, etc.)
the market conditions for what they are selling has changed for the worse.
When market conditions have tanked, like it has for Mormonism,
IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT YOU DO OR SAY THERE IS NO BUSINESS MODEL
THAT CAN SUSTAIN SUFFICIENT SALES IN THAT ENVIRONMENT, PERIOD!
