Why is Masturbation EVIL and Spouse Masturbation Spiritual

I have never understood why TSCC is so worried about that its members might masturbate and yet if one does it to their spouse it is good because it warms them up to actual sex.

Do you know?

It seems like just another stupid rule brought to us by the NON inspired leaders of TSCC.

It is also ok if you do it yourself when your married if your spouse is watching you. But it is a sin if your spouse isn't watching. Sin in in the details. WTF

There are two working definitions of Masturbation:

1: Hand-to genital stimulation (anyone's hand, anyone's genitals)
2: Self-stimulation (aka "solo sex")

Sometimes it's difficult to tell which sense someone is using.

A ban on solo stimulation would seem to meet TSCC's goals by driving young men into early marriage, including the all-important tithing to temple combo.

If you control the sexuality of an individual, you control the individual.

The specifics of arbitrary rules are irrelevant. The point is that the church dictates what is and is not ok.

It's all about control. Plain and simple.

IMHO, it's about thought control. Perhaps men will have a difficult time fantasizing about another woman or nameless body parts when their wife is present. It also keeps porn at bay.
