If he is elected, Mormons will think that it is the actualization of an old prophecy....."The Church is true because our President is Mormon". Just wait for it. Or we can be stuck with 4 more years of socialistic bullcrap.

I sent my resignation email with the correct and necessary information. They sent me a letter letting me know that my local leaders will contact me to complete the process, along with a brochure. Emailed the bishop & stake president and I hven't heard anything. I want my name off of their records and NOT deal with anyone. Thanks!

my bishop: "In accordance with church policy, “An adult member who wishes to have his name removed from the membership records of the Church must send the bishop a written, signed request. A request that Church representatives not visit a member is not sufficient to initiate this action. The bishop makes sure that a member who requests name removal understands the consequences: it c

But the prophet of the Restoration who CLAIMS TO HAVE SEEN JESUS CHRIST was part of an organization which denies Christ's divinity!!!!!??? And that prophet also integrated masonic symbols into the supposed house of the Lord?? So so angry right now. Whenever I find lut something new and damning, I get so angry. I already knew it was a fraud but this surpasses it ALL.

The different versions of the first vision caught my attention enough to do more research....then I came across the Book of Abraham findings. Oooooh boy. I still recall someone saying that the BoA was the book where testimonies go dying....I did my research and that was the beginning of the end.

I think that it is a crucial site for TBM's to discover the truth. The fact that Mormonthink.com is run by members removes any suspicion of "anti-mormon" material. I LOVE THE SITE.

The existence of Christ has been proven times and times by non-religious, historical sources. Even though, I know the Mo is a huge fraud, I have no doubts that Jesus existed.

Hi Lazarus, I am sorry to hear about your divorce. I am also going through a separation, and I am leaving the Church. I have some young children as well and we have both agreed that the children would decide which church to attend, if any at all, when they turn 16. I feel that shattering their testimony now would only hurt them and separated them from their friends. When they are mature enough

It was God's will at the time. We don't understand everything!! Duh!! What really upsets me is that Church manuals ALWAYS portray Joseph married to only ONE wife.

Wow thank you for all of your comments!! I have better days than others. This what I do know: I know that I have to live true to myself. I can't remain active/ inactive while knowing that the church isn't what it claims to be. I also know that I don't want to be bitter and disrespectful. While it aggravates me to observe certain friends being totally blindsided by the LDS church, I need to respec

Plus, the LDS faith considers Gethsemane to be the core of Christ's sacrifice for us rather than His death on the cross.

I am very much like you in the sense that I am always dying to share the real truths whenever I am arpund TBMs. However, I have learned two things. One is that they automatically shut me off if they feel any hint of "anti" in my tone/ goal. Negativity never gets anyone to a positive place. Second, I don't want to lower myself to their level and impose my views on anyone. I particularl

They evidently don't realize that not denying the deceitful truths, episodes, and false doctrines of the past actually confirms those elements as being relevant and truthful today.

There is nothing he could tell me that would make me change my mind about the falsehood of the Church. While it might still be a decent religion for certain individuals, it is irrevocably NOT what it claims to be. Hence, my refusal to discuss it with a bishop or stake president. That would be a waste of their time and mine :)

if it explains the feeling of dreariness, anxiety whenever I talk to a tbm about my "issues" with the Church or even when I spend too much time reading LDS supported material. I will be fine and happy for days until I come in contact with a tbm friend attempting to convince me that the Church. I don't feel guilt afterwards, just a feeling of downness. I realize that it might sounds odd

Are you attending the Catholic church? Between the various churches I have visited, the Catholic church seems to be what I need for now. Which email address did you send your letter to?
