I once made it a month just to see if I could do it. That was a long long time ago.

That stuff was amazing. We were once out of oil and butter and I needed (that's right, "needed") to fry some potatoes and onions for lunch. I tried using Kewpie to lubricate the frying pan and it did nothing but sizzle and skitter around. It fried up pretty well, achieving a respectable sear, but it never broke down. Fried mayonnaise anyone?

Certainly disgusting enough for anybody (mayonnaise or Kewpie?), but not even close. Speaking of breakfast foods though, did you guys have Rubbe Pon (Love Porn) cereal down there in Fukuoka?

Does anybody have the recipe for Dickskin Cake (a recipe so simple, even a dickskin can make it)? It was very popular in the Sapporo mission in the early 80s, I used to make it in our stove top oven for investigators, but I never thought to write down the recipe. 28 years later, even that simple recipe has been driven from my brain wrinkles. Was this a thing in other Japan missions (or any oth

I started questioning just before my mission, when a good friend introduced me to the Adam/God theory, but I consciously buried the questions in order to "get the best" out of my mission. I grew up in Cali, so I already had plenty of examples of very happy people living without Mormonism, so I can't say that the different culture had any bearing on my apostasy. My mission experience

It takes some prep time and expense, but go to Hot Topic and buy a nice goth outfit and buy a black light and pentagram black light poster. Let the mishies or bishie in while playing Bauhaus at an ungodly volume (let your neighbors know, they'll probably get a kick out of it), and offer them some red wine mixed with a little corn starch. I'll bet they never bother you again.

Nope, my upbringing in the church helped make me the freak I am now. I kind of like that freak. Besides, it's gotten me laid more than a few times.

Funnily enough, my Eikaiwa teaching experiences not only bolstered my Japanese language skills, but started me on my lifelong love of the English language. Much as teaching "the gospel" made me really learn about the strangeness of Mormon doctrine for the first time, teaching English made me focus on the intricacies of the English language.

It's another tithing miracle! Your son's GF made the choice to pay tithing instead of the rent, and suddenly 300 bucks magically appeared.

Ummm, does everybody understand the concept of television entertainment? It's a friggin' TV show for Chrissakes, and not even a so-called, reality show. Did y'all get this upset when Tootie lied to Jo on Facts of Life?
