I loved him like an older brother and savior - grateful and loved him for taking the punishment for my sins. I guess that is why leaving the church and ultimately leaving all myths behind was so hard. I truly loved Jesus.

I loved the little bit 'community service' we got to do on my mission. My favorite thing was hanging out with adults who had MR/DD. (sorry if that isn't the correct way to say it now.) They were so much fun! Visiting them was the best part of my week and the only thing brought me joy on my mission!

I was taught that while separated from our bodies we would long for them and the resurrection. Also, any habits or addictions followed us to the spirit world. Addicted to cigarettes? You would still be addicted as a spirit but would be tortured that you didn't have a body in which to go and light one up.

Who used a wheelchair. My guess is that he had CP but I do not know for sure. There was also a sister missionary who was deaf. 91-92. I guess the bar raising has made things harder and/or there were other reasons the person you knew was not called. Edit- oops. I see that your person was denied in the 80's. my guess is that there was something else going on that prevented the call.

It comes and goes. The election triggered me too. Try and find ways to get 'it' out. Scream into your pillow. Use boxing gloves on a bag. Something to get the anger out in a healthy way.

Unless things have changed, she can go. In 1991 it didn't stop....other people. Not me. Nope. I had a companion who had placed her baby with LDS social services. I know LOTS of people who have had LOTS of sex (and were honest with Bishop) and were able to go but then again, this was a LONG time ago.

Hmmmm, lets see. I want to get married in 2 years. Neither of us have a college degree and/or any money (I'm going to assume they aren't Romneys with trust funds). Do I - A. Buckle down in school and save like crazy because hey, at least one of us should have a degree and some money saved. Or B. Postpone college and save NO money because hey, the Lord will provide if I'm sssuuuu

I will add to the people who think that they are making good choices so they don't need a doctor, consider yourself lucky. Things go wrong and people have medical problems that are not a result of a lifestyle choice. If you have healthy children, you are very fortunate.

Fukking Romney is the reason I needed to come back to RfM again! Huntsman didn't bother me, I liked him. Romney embodies every horrible thing about the priesthood and church. I will continue to vent about Romney as it relates to Mormonism. (A least until admin bans me, then I guess I'll shut it.!)

Your p-day, after companionship study and individual study, is spent doing laundry, shopping for the week ahead...I can't even remember. They were not fun, it was spent doing things you felt guilty about doing during proselyting hours. The day ends with meetings which you have to be showered and dressed for by???? Maybe it was 6.
