For your consideration , Pagag, evolution is not a theory. It is demonstrable and observable, therefore evolution is a fact. It is very easy to prove that the Book of Mormon and Book of Abraham are nothing but a fabrication by an 18th century con man and paedophile. Pull your head out of the sand.

Love your postings and your blogs Simon. Was thinking of sending my Ephramite DNA off to get tested at Ancestry.com. Me thinking it will show Anglo-Saxon heritage. So, Monson, where is my Isralite DNA???

Do you really want to live in an environment where you are told what to think and how to behave? It's his house, so his rules for the most part, but telling you what underwear to wear is a gross invasion of your privacy and is not acceptable.

Unless it's a newish machine, I would forget trying to repair it at all. At the end of the day, after you have paid for parts and labour for the repairs, you still have an old laptop. It isn't worth trying to repair a big problem. I would pull the hard drive out, get your data recovered (you can do this yourself easily enough) and get a shiny new laptop.

Spent the evening visiting my 9 month old baby girl in cardiac intensive care. Seeing her smile and reach her hand out to me when I walked in the room. So, best day ever, really!!

There are some of us that love adventure and an adrenaline rush. I am one of those blokes. I used to BASE jump before it become fashionable; I race motorbikes; I rock climb solo with no ropes; I SCUBA dive with sharks. So, I speak with some authority. Everybody who plays those games knows that we could be dead in a split second, but that is part of the thrill. The thrill of air rushing pas

The thing is, you are never really alone. There is always somebody, sone where who be there for you. Like this forum - it might be (mostly) antonymous, but we understand. You may find there are exmo's not far from your location who you can meet up with and get support from. I feel your pain, even 15,000km away down under, we feel your pain.

Jobim, I'm an expat medic, so I've done what you want to do. It's a lot of red tape, but basically you need to find a post, then that hospital will sponsor you as "area of need" (meaning they can't recruit suitably experienced people locally) and you get a long stay business visa. The easiest way is to go through a recruitment company. There's plenty around. Immigration and medic

I would say you have to respect his decisions, even if you does want to re-assimilate. You need to respect him in his choices because you are going to have to demand respect for your own choices ie: setting those boundaries. I agree with the other posters. You really have to be firm with your boundaries - it's your home and you have the right to exclude church business from your own home, but

British Army for over 10 years, got my brag rags in Northern Ireland, Iraq, Bosnia, Sierra Leone and worse. I saw and did some terrible things that haunt me to this day. Never does a day go by that I don't think of my "brothers from different mothers" who never made it home. Rememberance Day / Veterans Day doesn't glorify war - how can you glorify a living nightmare - it respects

11th November is always a sad day for me. Too many "bro's from different mo's" to remember. No matter where I am or what I am doing, I stop whatever it is at 1100hrs and shed a tear or two. I don't wear my suit or brag rags (medals, for you non-military RfMers) very often, but this year I have a day off, so will be at the cenotaph in Sydney. Usually try to knock back a few beer

Choose only the best quality beans roasted by an expert.I prefer single origin. Store in an airtight container and don't keep more than what you will use in a couple of weeks, at most. Grind fresh and immediately before using. Experiment with the grind setting as this can alter the taste and intensity markedly. Try to use fresh, filtered water.

Way too much money AND time (time=money!!!) Never really a TBM, just tagged along with it due to still deluded parents. My TBM ex-wife paid her tithing from my wages, the cheeky little toe rag!!! Rough reckoning of how much cold hard cash, probably something in the region of $350,000 to $400,000. Could have bought a house!! From a time investment, I dread to think - a crude guesstimate f

Praise to the lard, Your lass has a clear angio. Of course it has everything to do with the magical prowess of the penishood. Nothing to do with the skilled techs and medics doing the procedure, nothing to do with very expensive technology they are using, nothing to do with the dedicated rsearch of countless scientist, physicists, engineers etc And, of course, nothing to do with your better

Good post Steve. Hancock deserves a big thanks from all of us, he really paved the way. Raising my glass of merlot right now!! I never had "the pamphlet" - feel almost deprived I never got one. In fact, I had to chase up COB to confirm my resignation had been processed appropriately!

Go to Mormonthink. In fact, send him the link so he can see for himself. Simon Southerton is a scientist from 'Stralia - he was a bishop from Brisbane. He has done lots of academic work on DNA in relation to this issue and has a blog which is full of good material. You'll have to google him, as I can't remember the link offhand.
