Trying to work out the algorithm here. A few years ago, the Butterfinger candy bar company ran a competition, with a prize of multiple Butterfingers to the person who could produce the most words from the letters in their bar. My mother, it happens, was the national winner. I wonder whether her brothers snuck a bunch behind her back, but never asked her, alas. So one wonders what would happen if

You want proof? For nearly two centuries, mormonism has oozed all over the country, and the proof of its authenticity or the validity of its prophets lacks the slightest scintilla of evidence. This delusional muslim appendage of Ms Malik has provided the proof of his religion by his all-out attack. If Joe Smith Jr had had the testicles to assault Gov. Ford in 1844, he could have risen to the rank

In the last couple years, what has happened to the bigwigs? Are Packer, Nelson, Oaks, Monson, et al., among the walking dead, or off to the arms of jesus? Thanks for any update. Apologies for sounding like a certain presidential candidate. I shall restate: What is the current succession structure?

Of the anti-mormon movies out there, which are your faves? My picks for the top three--satire, parody, or expose--are these, along with my reasons: 1) Plan 10 from Outer Space (1995, not rated, video cassette, Plan 10 Productions). The classic; picks apart each of Joseph Smith junior's ridiculous notions, with robust humor. To see completely demented Karen Black--yes, the scientologist actress--

Omyhellno! Fifty years in the Morg was fifty years too long. I can hardly advise another person when to leave the Morg--but when I think of the many fine things I could have done had I dumped the Morg early on; but I decided to give it a good long try instead.

Well, well, so god was a racist when he inspired BY to spew that crap, but now god is not a racist and takes it all back, but hold on, maybe next week god will be a racist again. Stay tuned. Let's see...Eminem as the 13th apostle.

Joan Rivers you are not, but it might not hurt to pick up a little of her style. The outfit you left is nut-buggy. But better than order your wife around, why not give her a copy of one of Richard Dawkins' books, to help her along? As the previous poster said, you made a petty severe mistake in ordering your wife not to go to church. If she ordered you to attend church, would you tolerate that fo

DeusEx, you know perfectly well what the Morg's line is. Every time a "prophet" says anything, all preceding mumbles are null and void. That is thanks to such ambitious goons as McConkie and Benson, trying to clear the way for unlimited aggression in the office of the FP.

Wait just a second. Do you mean they actually defecated on your porch step, then ran away without their papers when you opened the door? Someone seems to have confused passing out the BOM with passing out the BOMO, or bowel movement. We seem to need a limerick here, incorporating an acronym. Anyone?

Not every religion makes use of a god--and that is a good thing. For the poster who wrote he or she had not gone outside the Western hemisphere in religious searching, allow me to mention that in classical Sanskrit the term 'dyaus' denotes the firmament--nothing supernatural, just the overarching sky. From this arose the Latin 'deus', whence the English 'deity/god'. ('god' is a fairly recent word

Copies of this expose of the vile Mormon church have become available through various booksellers: UTLM.org, hamiltonbook.com, and others, some for less than $4 a copy. Published in 2011, this account of the major pedophile case against the Mormon church is a riveting look at the vicious legal attacks in store for anyone challenging the Morg--but also describes how such cases have been and can be

The most common idea is "having my name removed from the membership rolls/resigning". This does not get rid of the morg, nor does it prevent the morg from counting you as a member in its statistics, as rational guy pointed out. If you want to be done permanently with the morg, be sure to insist on being excommunicated--you do not have to attend a 'bishop's court' to do it, either, thoug

Fine childhood, WinksWinks, but consider yourself damn lucky you didn't have my mother and her solutions for problems. After my father died, leaving her and two children, she admitted she had considered killing herself and both of us, to save us all in the celestial kingdom. Then, when she married my first stepfather (a non-Morg who got her pregnant), the theology really kicked in. In an argument

Ex-Cult Member is getting close. JS wanted to DOMINATE, period. Once he established he was Top Dog in any relationship, he was on to the next. Man, woman, one or many, didn't matter. Remember, this con-man called himself president, prophet, god, the anointed one, and other titles that would allow him to plow under any opposition. Threatened to destroy his wife if she didn't back off. She backed o

Was John Taylor the grandfather of his wife born in 1860? Could he prove he wasn't? Was he his own grandpa? Died while on the run from the law? Married his lesbian wives to Heber Kimball? What a movie for Roger Corman.... Or George Romero.... Or Tobe Hooper....

How could one possibly top 6 iron's "mormonism turns narcissists into completely frigged up units"? So fine. For me, an item no-one else named. Literal-minded as I am, I threw the whole mess into the trash when I heard that Jesus said, "On the morrow come I into the world." What? WHAT? I am supposed to believe that a fetus in late-stage labor in the Middle East has suddenly l

A religious fraud takes pains to develop a PR facade that incorporates the more desirable features of society; otherwise no dime comes in. Many exmos become for a time antimos; that is, they reject anything to do with the morg, examined or not. While no person of integrity would continue in the morg, how should he or she make decisions in the new weltanschauung, or style of life? A few points: 1)
