Just imagine the chaos a German student trying to get into BYU with an indeterminate gender would cause! Hahaha

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-24767225 Tl;DR - Germany is now allowing babies to have a blank gender field on their birth certificate. German passports will also have a new designation for gender beyond M for male and F for female: X for indeterminate.

I think that is the opposite of what I wanted to be on the list. If the books were closed (as they are now), and then were forced open due to social/inner pressure, then I think it would fit. Or am I missing something about the history of the openness of church finances?

I hope the update to the description of polygamy from mormonthink is to your liking! :)

Thank you for the correction! I actually only copied the description of polygamy from mormonthink.com (the link referenced), as I thought they did a decent job of summarizing it. However, you're absolutely correct. It should not at all be called a revelation :)

Do you have any links/sources for this? I can only find the memories of people, nothing official.

I forgot about the "there is only this church and the church of the devil" position change. The position change on the potential to become a God is quite huge as well. Thanks!

I ran across this site earlier today - helps explain logical fallacies: https://yourlogicalfallacyis.com Being familiar with these has helped me create valid/logical arguments and refute invalid/illogical ones.

While I was looking at that site I happened to see my status bar say that resources were being loaded from en.elds.org, which is also owned by the More Good Foundation. A quick google search (https://www.google.com/#q=site:elds.org&filter=0) shows that elds.org hosts a ton of other sites, as well (possibly) some directly TSCC-related sites, like this one: en.elds.org/byu interesting

#1 - I thought they were all lies that were directly inspired by the devil that could easily be debunked. However, the phrase "religion is the opium of the people" always rang true in my ears, especially when I studied world history subjects in school and how state religions were used to control people and politics. I never thought to apply that truth to the LDS church though. I r

"We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things" http://i.imgur.com/mMJb96g.jpg I never understood this from the 13th article of faith. Are members SERIOUSLY supposed to believe EVERYTHING? Hope EVERYTHING? Endure EVERYTHING? It just doesn't make any sort of sense. Never has. Never will. Well, actually, it doe

I'd like to bear my testimony of gravity. It is the best thing that's ever happened to me! I want to share it with all of my friends. I don't know where I would be or what type of person I would be without it. Probably doing drugs on some street corner in some distant part of the galaxy.

I completely agree that they have no real way out of the mess that they're in. I was just saying that I know that they are currently in the process of trying to compile "answers" that go into increasing degrees of detail that will address/pacify those who are trying to seek explanations from the church for issues in the church. The GA my wife is related to seemed pretty excited about it

FYI, I know that they (GAs and church historians) are working on a way to respond to the criticisms about JS and church history.

Excellent resource! I really like the idea of putting all of the issues in a letter with the intent to explain it to your children. I will probably follow suit with my current collection of notes for my children.

Whoops, didn't put the last sentence from the quote in there. Here's the full quote: "Now brothers and sisters, this is a divine work in process, with the manifestations and blessings of it abounding in every direction, so please do not hyperventilate if from time to time issues arise that need to be examined, understood, and resolved. They do and they will. In this Church, what w

Jeffrey R Holland said this in the past general conference: "Now brothers and sisters, this is a divine work in process, with the manifestations and blessings of it abounding in every direction, so please do not hyperventilate if from time to time issues arise that need to be examined, understood, and resolved. They do and they will. In this Church, what we know will always trum
