Well...Yep.... That's about what I'd expect an arrogant teenager who thinks he knows the truth, has never heard anything but the pre-digested mush they expect him to quaff on a daily basis, and believes he's on a mission from God to say.... Color me unimpressed, unconvinced, yet quite amused.

seriously, I'm sitting here and the doorbell rings. I'm not expecting anyone. I look out the peephole, it's dark, it looks like a bunch of people. I pull away from the peephole and turn on the light to look out again. Some guy in a white shirt and tie and what may be his whole family and a few other people must have been watching the peephole because as soon as I looked out again they all br

Take some time and prepare three full hours worth of material and take the whole block of time to present it and work on getting the whole ward out. Instant critical mass resignation. You could even have pre-written exit letter for everyone to sign. The next week you could all return and meet as a humanist fellowship group.

It would've been cool if they CGIed something like Bilbo Baggins when he lunged for the ring and his eyes turned black and they put that in when Satan was cast out.

I agree, that's the way things seem to have been and will probably continue to be the way things will play out. I'm just hypothesizing with this topic what the reaction would be from the standpoint of the average chapel going, obedient member with no clue about the whole B.O.A. debate. They probably wouldn't put it to a vote any more than they put the other scripture changes to a vote...They'

Can you imagine a General Conference where this was put to those in attendance? I think people would support it, literally in a heartbeat, since they are all used to sustaining every motion put before them, especially if they saw the general authorities on the stand all raise their hands. Jaws would drop and hands would raise. Only afterwards would people ask why, but they'd support it.

I would have been nice if Turley had just rubbed his brown and then said: "fine...FINE! OK? You're right! It's indefensible ok?!"...and then threw down the white board marker and then just left the building.

I agree. Conceivably there were, say, 250-300 sheets, not 381, because of irregularities from sheet to sheet causing inter-sheet air pockets to form. Tin, being stiffer and much less dense than gold would have lent itself to this occurring and having something that could be described as "heftable". Even with strong farm boy arms 100-200lbs is heavy to really heavy.

'By his own had upon Papyrus' by Charles M. Larson It's a great expose on the Book of Abraham. It's a total slam dunk but please ignore the last chapter, supposedly the publisher insisted on it. Also watch this video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=hcyzkd_m6KE It's available on DVD if you wish.

They violate the 11th and 13th article of faith With their own policy. If someone wants join another church they they can claim that they are just trying to follow the 13th Article of faith and seeking after "anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy". I think that what it really comes down to is that they don't want you associating that closely with another faith c

So someone has been leaving these little Christian booklets in one of the company break areas. It's a pretty nice break area that they built. It's comfortable. It's got sofas and refrigerators and places to eat your lunch and literally six microwaves. It doesn't have a TV or a magazine rack or any kind of entertainment though. They recently built this place during a major renovation and I was
