I wonder what the Mormons think of Deuteronomy 13:5, that a false prophet must be executed. JS was killed by a mob. Just thinking. . .

My DIL said that she had a dream the other night that it was the 2nd coming & that they were told that they had to travel to Phoenix. She said that in her dream she could not find her oldest daughter. When the 2nd coming happens, we will be raptured, not have to travel to a city. Hasn't she seen Left Behind? Then what do they expect to do in this city when the 2nd coming happens accor

I was a Mormon for 20 years. From the time I was 12 until I was around 32. Before I was 12, we never went to any church. Mormonism was the only religion I knew. To keep a long story short, I left the Mormon church after 20 years. Yes, I did become a Christian. I was baptized at the Vineyard about 8 years ago. The first time I walked into the Vineyard & heard the worship music, I crie

I wonder what the church tells the members about this band. I remember several things when I was a Mormon, the church telling us not to read certain books, & warning us about Sandra Tanner & other people & things.

aaahhh. . . . the comment makes more sense now. However, I notice that nothing is said about the wife complaining or criticizing the neighbor in the first place. I would think that something would have been said to the wife not to be doing that. Instead, they focus on making sure you are looking thru "clean windows." Kinda sounds like skirting the issue.

My DIL went to a Women's Conference on Saturday & made this statement: "are you looking thru dirty windows?" Does anyone know what that means? I heard it has something to do with Thomas S. Monson's talk.

I just want to thank you all for taking the time to participate in this discussion. Your comments really help me. And yes, I could research & look these things up on my own, which I do, but sometimes I just need help thinking & to hear what others comments are. And you make good points that I hadn't thought of. My DIL's comment wasn't made directly to me, she made it on her fa

"they changed the date of the activity because the bishop was unable to attend, and they were nervous with my being there." That's funny!

That's true & a good thing to do, study what other religions believe on the subject. "She would most likely find it almost impossible to find two religions that don't believe that the family continues in some form, after death." I think her response or a Mormon's response would be: "yeah, but our children are SEALED to us. Yours are not."

CA girl Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > "But EVERYONE believe that they'll be with their > loved ones for eternity. That's true in any > church." That's true. I forgot about that part. I know a few things, but then my mind goes blank & I can't think. Thanks.

My DIL made a comment that she believes in eternal marriage & having her children sealed to her for not just time or till death do us part, but for all eternity. She said that her religion is different from other religions because other religions only believe in marriage till death do us part. What would be a good response to her statement?
