Switzerland in the early 80's...learned german and I can't remember much at all. At this point I could get to the train station and bathroom and mormon church. In my defense, the swiss all spoke english and I used that as much as german.

I was in the 18 month window when it changed back to 2 years. There was quit a bit of pressure to extend. My parents wrote a letter to the MP that I had to be back for school and had to leave at the 17mo transfer. Then my parents came over to pick me up and we went on a 2 week european tour. I made it back with 2 days to start the new semester. It was more lax back then.

I liked wearing a garment top, hated wearing the bottoms. I never liked just wearing a dress shirt to work. I seem to have a bit of perspiration during the day and I now wear a white t-shirt with boxers.
