I've noticed it too. I don't know if they purposely seek out black children too adopt, though. I've heard there are much more black children available for adoption than white children and that is why you see so many white families with adopted black children. Could be wrong, but that is what I have heard.

Greetings, RFM! I just wanted to drop in and share some good news with you. A few awhile back I was feeling a little down and I posted this thread: http://exmormon.org/phorum/read.php?2,1831219,1831291 Since then things have really been looking up. I just started a new job, not just any job, but an honest-to-gawd career type job that will serve me well. It is a great paying job in th

If you had actually been paying attention all along you would know that they don't purport to worship Jesus Christ. They worship Jesus Smith. Gordo even said so.

Helping family members move stuff because I want to, not because I feel obligated because we attend the same 3 hour cult meetings each Sunday. Real, genuine service.

Now that SSM is "legal" I'm going to go down and get a marriage license for my second wife, my bow. I should have the right to marry whoever, whatever, however, and how many ever people or things I want. It's a damn good thing we don't have a dog. I'd marry the dog too. That is what changing the definition of a word is and does. Thanks, SRCOTUS!!!!! Dissenting friend: I think I a

A friend of mine posted the CESletter on Facebook and said that it contained all the reasons he no longer believed in the faith that he grew up with. I was very curious and wanted to know what it had to say, so I clicked the link and began reading. Before I even finished it I knew that I had been duped by a false religion my whole life. What a crazy feeling that was.

When my wife and I are hoping for a great, prospective new job to materialize or hoping for a little extra luck for something else we all always lift our feet up off the floor boards whenever we drive over railroad tracks. It seems to be yielding pretty good results.

My wife and I were out running some errands around 5pm last night when we saw a pretty unusual sight. We were in Sandy at about 9400 S and 700 E when we saw a missionary crossing the road who was all by himself. As you all know, there is no circumstance where a missionary is ever allowed to not have his/her companion joined at the hip with him/her. I joked to my nevermo wife that he must have

A conversation I just had with my wife has me feeling kind of sorrowful for my awesome father. My dad is a lifelong BIC member of the church. He isn't one of those hardcore, staunch types though. He is rather blue collar and rough around the edges compared to a lot of TBM, super speerchul penishood holders. He uses cuss words and drinks coffee. He drank alcohol in his younger days and he mig

Well that brings a whole new wrinkle to the story that John D. Lee had his second anointing. So much for living as long as you desired. Is being "sacrificed in a cowardly and dastardly manner" by being turned into swiss cheese by a firing squad all to protect Brigham Young's fat ass really living as long as you find desirable? But who knows? Maybe he lived many more years laughing i

I recently read the thread about Brigham Young and the MMM. I had never heard that fascinating legend about a mock execution for John D. Lee and him escaping to Mexico. It sounds a little far-fetched but with all the lies and cover-ups pulled off by TSCC over the years who knows? One thing that got me thinking is why did they bury (or pretend to bury) John D. Lee in Panguitch? From what I und

There are about 7 billion people on the planet and only a few million active, "worthy" members. This always made me wonder about things. Then when I went on my mission I saw how ineffective our message was and how few people joined the church, and I saw what "type" of people joined the church and how few of them actually stuck around. It just didn't seem logical to me that

Mormon theology and history is full of unflattering, silly, and downright stupid utterances from their chosen profits. Many things they've said are so incredibly ridiculous by today's standards that Mormons are forced to find creative ways to justify and make sense of them. This usually takes place in the form of: "He wasn't speaking as the prophet at that time. He was merely speaking as

Not only does he compare women to cookies, but he also uses this exact sentence while comparing women to cookies... “It is easier for me to not have the cookies in the house than it is to walk though the front door and smell two dozen of them fresh out of the oven—warm and moist and smelling good.” Lol Mormons are not clueless at all are they?

This guy is out of TSCC! I got the letter in the mail today saying my name had been removed. I know some of you say that the moment they receive my resignation letter that I am resigned, but I always felt that until I received this letter that I had unfinished business with them. I wanted them and the whole world to know for a fact that they had absolutely no power over me. So glad to be done
