It's very disturbing when Good and Faithful family and friends turn on you when you share opinions not supported by the correlation department. For years, I cultivated a dual personality. My private personality, I realized, was not an appropriate Mormon Personality. My external personality was harder to maintain because it was the lie. Lying is really hard work. I had to maintain a TR to kee

The most weird or perplexing is that people actually do this and return to do it again!

Making the 4 signs are now in the sitting position. Receiving the token is still in the Standing position. Was changed maybe 10 years ago? not sure but was recent.

Consider also some of the non-lds books: God Delusion by Richard Dawkins God, the most unpleasant character in all fiction by Dan Barker On the Historicity of Jesus by Richard Carrier. There is a reason the church want's it's member to read the BofM. Reading the Old Testament is disturbing. JS restored all things but his source is basically the OT, not so much the NT. Temple, Polygam

My brew station is in my shop. One day my wife came out to chat and left rather suddenly. That night we had a come to jebus meeting. She smelled the brew. It's been a couple of years now and she is more accepting but still cries about my apostasy. It's getting better.

Now I know the true meaning of the BofM scripture, "Eat, Drink, and be Merry for tomorrow we shall all die". Here's to another year of waiting for the end. Happy Holidays everyone.

I have my Food and Water supply stored up. NO, not because Jesus is coming. Science is predicting the next Big Quake in the northwest any time now. I'm banking on Science, not prophecy.

I get those on occasion... And when I do... Don't click anything! I immediately open "Task Manager" and kill the browser(s) dead. All instances of it. If you reboot or anything else you are stuck. After you kill em dead you are safe. Afterwards, Kick back, crack open a beer and STOP LOOKING AT Click Bate!

Main purpose of SM is to get your weekly dose of Sacrament Bread and Water. It's unpardonable to deny folks their weekly dose of remembrance and re-commitment. Just another SM, nothing to see. Move along folks, move along.

I would go to Lunch frequently with a couple of friends who are not members of the church. One friend tells the other, "You know, one day you will be a member of the Mormon church". the other said "Over my Dead Body!" Badda Ding!

I installed screens I bought from costco (Easy On Gutter Guards) this year. All of the debris gets washed off of the screens and the water drains off nicely. Works very well so far. Had some heavy rain in October, up to 6 inches. No issues.

I'm still waiting for the Julie Rowe prophecies to come to pass. When they do I'll finally know I must "Follow the Prophet" if he's capable of leading that is.

Yup, agreed. I didn't know about this site more than a year ago. It all started for me 2 years ago. In November 2014 I was attempting to know God on a deeper level. I felt I had a relationship with God but it was an emotional feeling. My feelings are in God's camp but not my head. This was a problem and a problem I must fix. As I prayed and studied, I saw faces of God that disturbed me

I guess the misspelled name or milk striping stories are evidence that the ONLY reason you leave the church is because somebody is OFFENDED! When I said I don't have a testimony any longer the immediate response? "Who Offended you!?", "We can Fix that!" I told him GOD offends me and you can't fix God!.

Belief and Truth are what resonates with your reality. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OL8LREmbDi0 While Hiking with a buddy, I dipped my hands into a small stream, Drank the cool clean water... and it was good. My Buddy was all worried he would have to call a rescue helicopter to save me from Giardia, Beaver Fever or some other parasite. It's knowing the water source and how the water

TL;DR I went from TBM to Free because of a traumatic event I was an Uber TBM for 56 years. Many things about the Dogma seemed odd and out of bounds for me but I didn't have to address them because I knew I would find the answers when I passed on. Nothing focuses your mind like a tragedy. A friend of mine wanted to end his life. I knew God would guide me to an answer and intervene in

A tidbit of info: My BIL is the Exec Secretary to the SP in Jello Town. Made the comment that "A good many missionaries don't make it the full 2 years because of difficulties, depression, overly strict MP's etc." I worry about <GrandSon> because I don't think he is mentally ready to leave family and friends and live in that environment."

As a TBM I was agnostic towards the History. I didn't read it and I didn't care for it. I did the Sheeple duty and did what I was told. For my entire life the Church claimed to be the only true church on the Earth and I believed it. I didn't waiver. I saw oddities at times but realized in my mind, the church is true so anything contrary to that view, like this oddity, is not. There

I haven't been to a P Meeting for about 4 years. Don't miss them at all. On the other side of the coin though, out of the Church I have done more research into the church and listened to more Conf. Talks and read more scriptures than I have in 50 years in the Church!! Including on my mission.
