I left the church quite recently, I'd slowly been losing belief in god, but denying my lack of faith. Eventually though, I decided I couldn't believe in a thing that denied science and I couldn't agree with morally. After I moved out I really embraced atheism. It took me a couple months to be honest with my parents about my views on Mormonism, and all religion for that matter. Of course they did
