Only 4 of the top 15 mention missions on their lds.org profile. Did they not go or just not proud enough to mention it?

Thanks guys for all of the input. Lots to think about. Certainly where she goes is a huge factor. What I'm trying to avoid is incurring a financially liability for other people's decisions. I would feel a lot better if I had a reference to what they cover. After all, it's my policy and I'm not sure if I'm still responsible for her out of pocket expenses, even though she's 19.

My 19 y/o daughter has recently submitted paperwork for her mission. Evidently her bishop was asking the status of her health insurance. The customer service representative assured me that she was covered, worldwide until the age of 27. Doesn't the 'Morg cover medical costs for missionaries? I hate to be an asshole and try to deny her coverage, but nor do I want to be fiscally responsible if she

I do them every chance I get. There is undeniable value in being comefortable with your vehicle going sideways, and having some experience in regaining control of it in a practice environment.

I lived 6 years in American Falls, in transition to a raging apostate. No issues at all. I was valued for my professional abilities, and musical talents. Through my TBM wife, I could attend as many ward parties as I wanted, or decline every calling brought my way. I knew everybody in the ward, and many of them I called friends.

This is currently the practice in the Baumholder Military Stake. Branch President is out of the Kaiserlautern community, 20 miles away. Baumholder has a fairly transient military population, though.

I suggested this recently in another post. Certainly legislation could be written that would spare the little guys, while sticking it to the profit makers. Certainly the LDS church should not be able to get away with what it does.

This happened for me too. TBM wife told the Branch Prez that paying tithing would create too much contention in the home. She got the TR anyway.

Tithing settlement is just around the corner. I never miss the opportunity to go and see just how much my TBM wife has thrown away over the year.

This just got me thinking... How about legislation that required full fuscal disclosure for "churches" that wanted to remain tax exempt? I think it would have huge populace support.
