It works faster and better for me than any other bipolar medicine, but I still get off of it once I'm stabilized because of the potential for liver and kidney damage. All bipolar meds cause weight gain including lithium which is another reason I don't stay on them. And they all affect you sexually. Every time I have lost weight since my fourth child it has caused a chemical imbalance that has put me in the mental hospital. Once there, I am forced to take medication that causes significant weight gain because of increased appetite. The medication also causes my metabalism to slow down. This has happened 11 times. I am now resorting to liposuction, tummy tucks etc. so this won't happen again.

To prevent canker sores I learned to buy toothpaste without sodium lauryl sulfate. Rembrandt use to make toothpaste for canker sores without sodium lauryl sulfate. I use to buy it at walgreens. I haven't been able to find it in a while. Maybe you could find it online. It really prevented the canker sores. Also oral b make a great mouthwash that helps heal canker sores.
