Southwest has published a 3-day sale with great savings starting this morning. For me, tickets to Salt Lake have been hovering anywhere from $350 and up - no matter which airlines or site I checked. Been that way for months. I can save almost a hundred dollars if I act now. Just wanted to let everyone who might be considering coming to Conference that now would be the time to leap if you can

We are making some changes to our website, and as a result of that, I haven't been able to get the agenda for the Conference on the web site yet. I don't want to wait any longer to let you know who will be speaking. Here is a list, with a short version of their bios GRANT PALMER – Grant is the author of An Insider's View of Mormon Origins (Signature Books, 2002) and The Incomparable Jesus

The Board of the Exmormon Foundation is VERY pleased to let you know that GRANT PALMER, author of "Insider's View of Mormonism" will be a featured speaker at our yearly Conference in Salt Lake City. Recommendations to book him have probably been #1 on the list of requests I've received over several years. We are very excited to have him share his story with us. As soon as I com

I'm letting our community know that the Foundation now has a "reader" for credit card transactions. At this point, it can be used for purchasing our DVDs, paying for either level of memberships, and donations (the donation program starts at $5.00 and goes up in $5.00 increments). In a little while it can be used for Conference registrations if for some reason you do not want to use ou

I should have put Embassy Suites in Salt Lake as the location for the Conference. The phone number there is 801.359.7800. That goes to the main desk, and you have to ask for Reservations. I will let everyone know when we have any pertinent information up on the website. Sue

Just a little reminder and nudge that the dates for the next Exmormon Foundation Conference will be October 19-21, 2012!! It's going to be a good one!! In just a few weeks, I will be able to reveal some of the program, and an extra special guest speaker! So mark your calendars and plan to join us for a great weekend. The hotel has already blocked our rooms, and those reservations can be

I wasn't being literal when I said "tithing"!! There's a whole hell of a lot more that members "give" that keeps this corporation going. Tithing is given in countless ways besides money -- and it all goes to keeping the corporation prosperous. They truly sicken me.

How about the 3-story excavation that took them over a year, before ANY building had started. What about the demolition that had to take place What about all the buildings they purchased (and businesses they probably paid to get out early). There are dozens of things they have spend money on that isn't figured into building costs. The bottom line is that the citizens of Salt Lake City wil

We are getting queries about seeing the video and/or listening to the audio of the Conference two weeks ago. We WILL have the audio up on the website and videos up on Youtube just as soon as we can. Since we're a "volunteer" organization, sometimes things can be slow. One improvement this year will be that we are now able to upload a video without having to break it into segments.

Peregrine -- could you explain the rule about "external blog links" not being allowed. And what is the list you are talking about? I am not here much, so I continue to be confused about the rules. Sue

Tonight as close to Midnight as we can get our webmaster to stay up!! - the PayPal buttons on the Exmormon Foundation website will be shut down. I need to give the dinner count to the hotel in the morning. If you've been procrastinating, now's the time! Some of you may have heard all the commentary and slurs directed at the church yesterday in the news. "Cult" was the word being slammed about. Huffington News dedicated a whole page to it, which is unusual for them. Here's the link: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/news/lds-church

Dress code is pretty casual. We'd rather not have anyone wear shorts, or something deliberately offensive, but other than that, we run the gambit from jeans to skirts during the day for the women, and jeans to slacks for the men.

I was told he deleted ever negative comment made about him and what he was saying about Conference, and unfriended a high number of "friends" during the weekend.

So.....I have been told that John Dehlin has "gone back" in one sense or another. A lot of activity going on this last weekend, at least that's what I've been told. Can anyone inlighten me? Or is this a taboo subject here..... Sue

If you're planning to come and stay at the hotel, but have procrastinated getting a room, better do it today! Phone number for the Embassy Hotel is 1-801-359-7800. Ask for the Exmormon Foundation block of rooms. We have a male who would really like to share a room to cut expenses. Let me know if you are interested. Sue Conf. Chaiar

I wanted to let those who are planning to come to the Conference know that the deadline for getting rooms at our block rate is September 26th -- only 6 days from now! In the past I have usually been able to get a few more rooms for people after the deadline -- but this year the hotel is refurbishing two entire floors of the hotel, and there will be significantly less rooms available for regular

If you were adopted through the church social services, I would not trust for one minute!! that the birth parents never made contact. I think S.Services more "enlightened" now (sometimes) -- but I know for a fact that for many years they would not pass on letters from birth parents or vice versa. Simply threw them in the file and never notified anyone that another party was trying to
