I think you have to be an exmo to truly appreciate how weird and cultish forced missionary work is.

I honestly think my Dad had a good time on his mission, he started in 1949, travelled across the atlantic on a cruise, and was never forced to go door to door or stand on a street corner like a common lunatic.

Umm, yes. It sounds like the studies you are involved in are trying to weed out schizophrenics. Be that as it may, we still seem to accammodate delusional behaviour when it comes to the realm of religion, but atheists are ignorant and intolerant when they point that out.

He probably doesn't even believe in "the spirit", but uses the term because he feels he needs to use it to better interact with the lesser mortals he is lecturing.

So, I referenced another recent Supreme court decision which sits at about 70-80% unpopular, (I think it gave someone the vapours so it was pulled). The point being, some supreme court decisions are wildly unpopular, and come from both sides of the political spectrum, I see no real news here.

I really got the chills when my Dad spoke approvingly of that story. I told that story to my kids with the added ending of "I would never let anyone, not even a voice I thought was coming from God, talk me into harming you."
