If a Military man dies in duty to his country, he DID choose that career, but he chose to die to protect you, his country, his family. He didn't choose his job to become rich with a random chance of being killed. And showing him/her honor is hardly idolatry. It's pretty basic respect. Same for policmen/firemen/first responders who are killed in the line of duty. It is a selfless act for th

We are the Morg. We will add your biological and technological distinctiveness to our own. Your culture will adapt to service us. Resistance is futile.

I loved every classic rock concert I ever went to. When the lights went down, you could feel the energy of the crowd and the roar at the first sighting of your heroes as they came on stage....then the lights would go up and "it's all happening". I hope you feel better soon.

I've said it once and I'll say it again. The new Temples are merely the opening salvo in real estate speculation and development. As always with the Mo's, follow the $$$.

What about dicing some Bednar (copyright) brand pickles, the aged pickles with the big crunch. Add half a cup for texture. If it's not Bednar's, it's not pickled.

To the topic at hand, or what started out as today's big topic. Marriage between two adults is a right protected by the Constitution. It is equal protection and their is no language to discern the gender of the marriage partners. In other words, it is a protected right we are all treated equally under the law. This is why Prop 8 is unconstitutional. Talk about your guns and your God on ano

Rights are inherent. They are self-evident. That is why the Supremes have had to step in from time to time to whip the States in line. If it were pure majority rule would women have the right to vote yet in every State, would Civil Rights be given equally to all regardless of color. What needs to be established is the "inherent" right of LGBT couples to pursue life, liberty and happ

I was pleased to see so many of my co-workers fly the "equal" flag on fb the past few days. I don't think they were advertising equal, either.

If you are a land developer and want to develope a planned community and raise the property values, don't you think it would be helpful to have a Temple as the centerpiece of your community? Follow the money.

As for fence-sitters, don't rush to judgement. Dehlin follows his own path, just as do you. Judging either way is not productive. JD let's people do that, that being, following their own path. Not such a bad paradigm.

FAIR/FARMS is such weak tea. They qualify everything and hide behind authority. I'm with Simon Southerton, if the apologists speak FOR the "Church"; yell it from the mountain tops! Don't be embarrassed. The apologists have driven off more TBMs than Dehlin ever could. Dehlin offers that place for transition, either way, in or out...it could not be more altruistic.
