The whole metaphor is an unfit parallel, establishing early unconscious acceptance of cognitive dissonance. Parents don't consume meat in private. They do not hide it. Infants see us eat it, they smell it, see it's use advertised in popular culture, and grow up with it as part of the family dinning experience. They taste it in their mother's milk. Accepting the parallel, even passively, is

Dad put the altered picture back in the Bom's. Perhaps I'll find one at a garage sale someday. Funny note: While I was visiting my mom about 6 years ago, I found one "unaltered" BoM on her shelf - she had kept one herself...

Yes. She actually read my request first - forcing me to follow through. Unfortunately it was before I knew the critical literature, so I recommended a mild autobiography of a person with an alternative world view. It had shock value and I din't think she would get through it, but she did. When I told her I was studying, she sent me my father's library, including the BY discourses. It included pri

He presented the items proudly at Family Home Evening and unknowingly compelled me to act. I told my SP that I didn't have a testimony and refused to be associate

A two-year-old academic record will significantly impact opportunities for merit-based scholarships. It will also hurt those interested in technology-centered majors.

As a professor, I know that a first-year student may only defer for one year. So, male mishies will be forced to apply after they return. Will Mission Presidents support filling out applications in the field (unlikely)? If not, mishies will be set back three years in most cases. I'm sure BYU etc. will have some kind of early admission process for mishies, but I doubt other schools will follow
