I lived in Golden for many years when I was first married. The chapel is about 1 mile from the famous Coors brewery. MANY people from our ward worked at the brewery. The town revolves around the historic brewery. Fresh hops smell on the way to sacrament.

The author related, in a post in the comment section, that he grew up Mormon, so if he got his facts about the Mormon church wrong that would make sense as members are not told the true history. Doesn't speak too much for his journalism skills.

Yes, the best I can come up with is he thought it wouldn't matter. He lives in Mormonville Utah. Maybe he did it to make his wife and family happy. I resigned years ago (6 I think). After I divorced went back to college, I learned critical thinking skills (wow! that was challenging and fun for my brain).
