Sadly this is not new behavior for this area. A link to Another, similar case from 1996. http://www.nytimes.com/1996/01/17/us/mormon-leaders-in-west-virginia-accused-in-suit-on-child-abuse.html

Aloha, I saw this on CNN and didn't see it posted here. The guy (refer to other Rock Toppler posts) who pushed the rock over is in a pending personal injury lawsuit claiming to be disabled. http://www.cnn.com/video/standard.html?/video/bestoftv/2013/10/22/exp-pmt-nevada-school-shooter-amaya-and-tabatha-newton.cnn&hpt=hp_t1&from_homepage=yes

I lived in Golden for many years when I was first married. The chapel is about 1 mile from the famous Coors brewery. MANY people from our ward worked at the brewery. The town revolves around the historic brewery. Fresh hops smell on the way to sacrament.

It would be nice to find a group of us. It would be good to get them on the board to keep it active while everyone on the mainland sleeps!! I've wanted to find others. Thanks for posting!

I'm so sorry! Sadly, this happens all too often. Oh, let's see...My TBM extended family abandoned me when I needed them the most. The first time happened when I needed to leave my husband who gambled everything away (house, trust, his dignity). My sisters and my mother said I and my two children couldn't move in with them. Maybe they were afraid I would never move out. I was afraid of being homel

The author related, in a post in the comment section, that he grew up Mormon, so if he got his facts about the Mormon church wrong that would make sense as members are not told the true history. Doesn't speak too much for his journalism skills.

I just saw this and thought I'd share it here. I didn't see it posted on RfM. If the link doesn't work just Google Mormon Huffington. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/derrick-shore/mormon-church-marriage_b_3550754.html

I'm white. I was taught that black people were dark because of the curse of cain. I believed that until I was 33. I believed it because that's what I was taught. I adopted two black children with my now ex-husband. When we began the adoption process 15 years ago with LDS social services, I asked the worker "why does the LDS church places black babies in white homes?" His reply, "to

Yes, the best I can come up with is he thought it wouldn't matter. He lives in Mormonville Utah. Maybe he did it to make his wife and family happy. I don't know...he was the only one in my family that wasn't Mormon and I had someone to talk to. Maybe I'm sad for myself. He did enjoy the "Mormons for Obama" bumber sticker I bought for him last month!!

I resigned years ago (6 I think). After I divorced went back to college, I learned critical thinking skills (wow! that was challenging and fun for my brain). I moved to a new ward and because I wasn't busy with a calling, I paid attention to a the lessons. It didn't take long for me to think my way out. I found RFM. Posters I remember were T-bone, deconstructor, Steve Benson, and Tal Beckham. I c
