The chances that the ward missionary people will be in charge of their partnership with your BF's organization are 100% or higher. There is absolutely nothing in the ward budget for giving aid to the organization; it'll just be bodies and they'll have mouths attached and the mouths will yap, yap, yap about Joseph Smith and the B of M.

Yes, it's equal to blank! Blank is all I could come up with! I got my BA for cheap. Sure, I got what I paid for, but now, 45 years after my graduation (I was rearranging the closet and came across the only candid that was taken that day: me in my robes, my BYU bride by my side and we're flanked by my parents, who as Lamanites were told by security they had to be off campus by dark) I can hon

31983. Re: valiant?
I somehow got a hold of the idea that it was like scouting. Those who stuck around rather than follow Lucifer, started racking up the merit badges. I, as a filthy, despicable future Lamanite, was obviously a bit of a slacker. My beautiful White and delightsome (and then some) girlfriend obviously did much better with the merit badges... Thus, in my mind, the penalty of being born with the M

Mormons are Millennium believers. Jesus Christ will come again and there will be 1000 years of theocracy, during which temple work and golf will be our main occupations. You can either read Revelations in the bible or watch the American Dad episode about the apocalypse. They are equally the truth, in a sort of fictional way.

It was on R(abb)it... "Unfortunately, we see some very poor role models of womanhood in today’s society. We see women boxers and wrestlers as we flip through the television channels trying to find something uplifting. I believe the women of our time need to be strong, but not in that sense. In my opinion, these activities demean the nobility of womanhood." https://www.lds.org/ge

I don't believe it's the function of this board to serve as a proselyting tool for non-atheism. I also don't believe in believing.

I want to be free of, and from, illusions. I want a healthy balance of self-service and giving back to my community. I want personal freedom, but agree to live in harmony with others, realizing that frictions will inevitably arise and need to be dealt with. This will probably be a never ending source of conflict and because of our genetics, violence will never end. But neither should our atte

Don't be silly!! They get into a fount, or Jacuzzi, and by themselves, lay back into the water, making sure they are entirely submerged, and then you, dressed all in black, jump in, grab them and pull them out of the water and you both get out of the water, shake hands, and then proceed to the unconfirmation, which is done by a bartender in good standing.

Regarding this one: Jan 24, 1878 - Presiding apostle John Taylor tells meeting of local bishops, "He expected to present before the people at least once a year an account of what was done with their means." It becomes policy to present financial report at April general conference. Was there ever an explanation regarding the termination of the "...account of what was done wi

If, during orgasm, I were to call out, "Oh (insert name of girl friend)", I worry that she would stop what she was doing to ask, "What?" So that's why, as an atheist, I still 'believe' in ghawd.

Luckily, I've always been hated for who I am, rather than for being an atheist. It's good when justice is served.

Regarding this subject of running into old lovers, when I think about it, I'm driving a Hertz rental car and I've purchased the full insurance package, so that the damage done to the car is covered. And because I can't be the only one who has thought of this, I ALWAYS look both ways before crossing.

A husband and wife tee off on a long par 4. The husband's drive slices hard to the right, behind the maintenance yard. He's still in bounds, but the cart barn is in the way. As they're sizing up his options, his wife says, "Hey, there's a big door on both sides of the cart barn. If I both doors, you can hit a low iron through the barn and be okay!" She excitedly runs and opens

You're sorta, kinda, but not too close to being correct... I say this because there hasn't really been any "Splat" across the windshield of the interested public, letting the world know that she's 'doing much better now'... But.. BUT!, her profile is still available on Mormon(dot)org, for all the world to please notice and be moved. http://www.mormon.org/me/b9fv

I was walking across a bridge one day, and I saw a man standing on the edge, about to jump off. I ran over and stopped where I could talk to him. He was crying, his hair was tousled and unkempt. I called out to him. He turned to look at me, and I saw a wild look in his eyes. I locked eyes with him and said, as calmly as I could, "Stop! Don't do it!" "Why shouldn't I?"

While there are crumbling temples and vanished ghawds, the urge/desire to have a ghawd or ghawds "in" their lives has not diminished all that much. There is a constant increase in the constellation of ghawds and ghawdesses. Having immortal, all powerful beings who CARE for you!! It is just so compelling!!! And it's so easy for a believer to say to himself, "Where's the

Good ol' number nine doesn't get a fair shake at all. In the OP, the commandment was stated as "Thou shalt not lie." But according to all the sources I could find, including mormon.org, the ninth commandment is: Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour. Compare this to the three preceding commandments: Thou shalt not kill. Thou shalt not commit adultery. Thou
