For most Mormons the top rung of their entire Mormon existence (since most never get the 2nd anointing) is the secret password to get into heaven.
They spend much of their life maturing and preparing to receive this.
They go back to the temple over and over to renew this and to get it by proxy for others.
They give 10% of their income to the church and do many other things to be worthy.
They promise everything they have to the church and even promise to die for the church if required to receive this.
And what do they get for all of this? A silly little poem:
Health in the navel marrow in the bones,
Strength in the loins and in the sinews,
Power in the Priesthood be upon me and upon my posterity through all generations of time and throughout all eternity.
That's it!
That's the top spiritual experience of Mormonism! Your whole life of unlimited sacrifice to the church, for that.
How silly.
How trite.
How hollow.
How sad.
