I have noticed that some posters spell god as doG. Do you do it to offend believers or out of respect (like the ancient jews) or for some other reason?

As for me, god is a myth and is not worth the effort to press the caps key to be spelled GOD.

Why do you spell it doG?

Have you never seen the bumper sticker that sats "Dog is my Co-Pilot"?

God doesn't like schlubs like us saying his name, because it make him look like he is waiting for a table at Applebee's. "God, party of 14 billion? Your planet is ready. Follow me please."

God, not being very clever, won't know we are talking about him if we spell his name backwards. Yeah, I know, hard to believe, but it actually seems to work.

The Hebrews, who started this whole mess, think god is fooled by leaving out the vowels. This all started when they stole their alphabet from their neighbors, the Phoenicians. Apparently, you had to buy vowels, and they were having none of that, so their written language was just consonants. They soon realized that if the language is all consonants, you end up spitting on yourself a lot when you talk.

Rather than admit they made a mistake, they declared that common words must have vowels, and only holy words could be all consonants. To this day, Jews and wannabes write g-d, thinking this fools doG. And again, surprisingly, it seems to work.
