I was recently on LDSLiving.com and clicked on an add that read "Porn Stinks" because of the mental pictures it created.

I actually think sexually the actors in porn stink less than people engaged in old fashioned run of the mill everyday sex. But that is just my opinion.

I thought it was funny. Porn may stink but I don't think bowels of mercy smell any better.

Actually I've encountered quite a bit if porn in my life. I have yet to come across anything that had a scent.

I have come (no pun intended) across some stinky porn. One story was a funny story. My friend when I was a teen's father worked for LDS Inc. in their dead names library. He is still to my knowledge a total TBM. Well we were trying to hide in their garage to smoke something not exactly tobacco. They had this huge closed that took up the whole back of their open garage. In it, it had a attic-like upper storage area only reached by ladder.

Well, this ladder-day saint father had a huge and I mean decade after decade stash of Playboy Magazine. There were probably issues from its inception. My friend remembered when his father had bought these boxes not knowing their contents. It was a few year before that time in the mid eighties. He remembered that his dad had bought something and the guy was someone he had never met and never met again.

So, we were skipping school and dove into the Playboys. Some issues didn't smell but some smelled moldy and of these some spreads had lots of visible stains on them...

yea porn stinks. i dont side on the tscc on this matter. so here you are in 15 yrs ago in a magazine store. problem your chems in your brain are kicking in because of some article you glanced at got you excited enough to buy the mag. problem is the booths in the back of the store. someone is finised wackin off to a slezy movie and left his print on the wall. bio hazard 1. 2nd problem due to porn. the manager always has to go in and sanatize those booths to get the print off the all. the lysol chemical smell is a wift in the air. so now and this is why i hate porn stores, every time i clean a bathroom with pinesol my memories go right back to the damn booths. absolulty absored! to the current day. is bad enough that gay is everywhere loud and proud. tscc. the mormon church is not the only church, organization, political thought, or social group against porn. if anyone has had their eyes opened in from the darkness and emptiness that porn leaves they'll fully understand my thought. a loved one in my family is a victim and has told me how porn has caused the abuse they went through when they were a kid. i dont side with the tscc. its my words from my life.

Porn doesn't cause abuse. Video games don't cause violence. Guns don't kill people. Dipshit people do dipshit things. Stupid, bad, and maladapted people are the problem.

Sexual abusers obviously will be attracted to sex, just like violent people are attracted to violence. It is stupid to assert that what some untrained lay people assert about causation and motivation must be gospel truth.

If I were given a choice on which of two things gives young people the wrong expectations about sex I would say LDS Inc. is 10 times worse than porn. The most basic erotic material out there doesn't show it like it is but like people want to fantasize about it and this is going to happen (fantasizing) whether porn exists or not.

Expectations that you are to have sex in a context that is completely and intrinsically tied to marriage and like your marriage particular marriage partner is going to last forever and ever and ever and ever seems a bit screwed up in my opinion.

You can take a lot of the fantasy (multiple partners and variety of ways to do it) out of sex like LDS Inc. wants but expecting all Mormons to think this is what they should expect in their sexual lives is just cruel.

Porn is bad for you, because it reduces your appreciation for the women (or men) who would actually have sex with YOU.

When the person you love wants you and shows it there is nothing like that in the world. If it were always like that, Mormons may have a point. But the fact of the matter is we come together in diverse ways and make it work reveling in these special moments.

I may be wrong, but like food, sex is something that can be partaken of in a variety of ways. To say it is only good one way is to place your experiences at the realm of all what should be for all people.

Those of us who have never been the most attractive people in the world can appreciate the people who have sex with you regardless of porn. To think otherwise puts some kind of sexual blinders on yourself in my opinion.

I have a brother I am very close to. He was married to, I swear, a sociopath, but a TBM sociopath, so it's ok, right? When he finally had enough of being physically, mentally and emotionally abused and left, she told his Bishop, everyone in our family, his boss and everyone in their neighborhood that he was a porn addict and that was what had destroyed their marriage. The truth, he had looked at some Playboys a friend had brought over a few times. Yep, that's a porn addict, all right.

I agree that porn addiction can have very serious consequences, just as any addiction, but glancing at it once in a while does not an addict make.

So, gobbledygook, apparently there was no child abuse prior to porn? Actually, I've heard that sex crimes have gone down, as porn provides another outlet for the urges of perverts.

As long as we're throwing out blame, let me say that the CAUSE of me looking at porn is my wife, as she withholds sex.

And why does she withhold sex? Because of women's liberation, she can now go to work and make her own money, so she no longer has to put out to get my money.
