I remember changing the words to the songs in primary when I was a kid. I thought I was hilarious.

I think maybe if we edited a bunch of the songs

Like "Follow the profits, follow the profits, follow the profits, they must get Paid!"

That could really take off in sharing time. At least my younger self would have enjoyed it.

Any ideas that come to mind?

Follow the profits, follow the profits, follow the profits, they must get Paid!

Follow the prophets, follow the prophets, follow ole Joseph, go get laid.

EDIT: I feel bad for saying that.

Current LDS Primary Song, “I Thank Thee, Dear Father”

1. I thank thee, dear Father in heaven above,
For thy goodness and mercy, thy kindness and love.
I thank thee for home, friends, and parents so dear,
And for ev’ry blessing that I enjoy here.

2. Help me to be good, kind, and gentle today,
And mind what my father and mother shall say.
In the dear name of Jesus, so loving and mild,
I ask thee to bless me and keep me thy child

*****

New RFM lyrics, “I Lothe you, Dear Joseph”

1. I loathe you, dear Joseph in hell where you dwell,
For the mess you created, which I must dispel.
I thank you for leaving a trail of deceit,
So I can see clearly that you were a cheat.

2. I’ll strive to be good, kind, and gentle today,
And won’t read your Bible or care what you say.
I’ll thank MormonThink and all seekers of truth,
And learn all that’s right while I am in my youth.

As a primary pianist of many years, I can sing this song in my head. I love your lyrics for "I Loathe you dear Joseph"

I heard they were getting rid of the "fun and activity" section. Too bad. That's what we used to get the "wiggles" out as the kids found it tough sitting through the long, 3 hour block.

As a Primary music director for several years, I would have straight up rebelled if they took away the "fun and activity" section. The music for the entire year was planned by good ol' Correlation. Everything we did, all year long, was to prepare for the annual Primary Program. "Once There Was a Snowman" was the only way to keep those kids happy after singing the same songs over and over and over again!

Don't forget my old Primary Colors song (featured on Salamander Society):

Our primary colors are one, two, three
Red, yellow and blue
Each one has to do with the church, you'll see
Each is a symbol too

Red is for tithing that bleeds you to death
You'll keep on paying until your last breath
Give up your ten percent

Yellow's for cowards who hide behind guards
Driven around in their black armored cars
These are your presidents

Blue is the way that you'll feel when you know
You'll never see half the titles they hold
Their rank is heaven sent

Our primary colors have shown a lot
Red, yellow and blue
The church wants a tenth of whatever you've got
And your descendants too

Current LDS Primary Song, “Tell Me the Stories of Jesus”

1. Tell me the stories of Jesus I love to hear,
Things I would ask him to tell me if he were here.
Scenes by the wayside, tales of the sea,
Stories of Jesus, tell them to me.

2. Oh, let me hear how the children stood round his knee.
I shall imagine his blessings resting on me;
Words full of kindness, deeds full of grace,
All in the love-light of Jesus’ face.

3. Tell me, in accents of wonder, how rolled the sea,
Tossing the boat in a tempest on Galilee!
And how the Master, ready and kind,
Chided the billows and hushed the wind.

*****

New RFM lyrics, “Tell Me the Stories of Joseph”

1. Tell me the stories of Joseph I want to hear,
How he drank whiskey, hard liquor, and shared a beer.
Chucked the commandments, disobeyed God,
Called out the Danites, his holy squad.

2. Oh let me hear how the women struggled in grief,
When he would threaten salvation, for unbelief.
Words full of harshness, swords that could kill,
Marry the Prophet, ladies be still.

3. Tell me why peep stones were holy, tossed in a hat,
Visions of old ancient prophets coming to chat.
Nephi, Moroni, the golden plates,
No way it happened - No pearly gates.
