I think all exmos but particularly the gay ones can get something out of:

Shame runs very deep for those coming out as gays and exmos.

Under what circumstances (or in what places) are
these types of negative effects most minimized? In
certain urban or rural areas? In certain social groups?
Among empathetic friends and neighbors?

Can't you ever just appreciate something for what it is?

The video does not try to address what you ask and we do not have that information, perhaps you should learn to use Google.

I posted it for people that could get something out of it, not to spark a discussion of everyone one and every issue. I would appreciate it if we could keep it on those terms.

It is likely that the "circumstances" are often the same, using shame to control. But that does not really matter when talking about how shaming affects the person being shamed.

Ok

I'll start another thread addressing my shame
and my exit from Mormonism. Perhaps you'll
have some helpful commentary to add there.

Goodbye

But that is not how your reply was written. Your first reply to my OP had NOTHING about you relating this to your exit from Mormonism. Please stop trying to guilt me by trying to make this about something that didn't actually happen. I wouldn't have had an issue if you actually did relate this to your shame while leaving Mormonism, I would have been appreciative of that.
