I'm imagining a day when many of the LDS temples will not be in use and will be sold.

What would those temples lend themselves for? What other kinds of uses?
Schools, theaters, condos? What?

Ahh...yes, very clever.... and some nice jazz playing -- sorta like a fancy Starbucks with an elevator and upstairs rooms! :-)

Similer to town halls here where they get rented out to just about anyone that needs them. Like souts and girl guides and after school activities.

Heck you could even keep parts of the movie.

Their complex floor plan and forbidding street look and approach don't lend themselves to any other kind of activity. Plus there aren't any view windows.

It's too labyrinthine for an office building, too creepy, and there's already a glut of office space in metro areas.

It's too gaudy and fancy for an everyday business.

Really, for the cost efficiency, and the prime location, the best thing to do would be to have some really fun explosive demolitions and start over with a new building on site.

Maybe an art museum or an upscale furniture store. An all-in-one bridal, floral, photography, catering, bridal mall.

I was told that one of the old Ward houses in our area was sold and used for that purpose.

I vote for funeral homes....a lot of dead stuff went on in there anyhow. Other choice....homeless shelters.

Otherwise, tear it down! Plant some trees, make a park, build a school, a children's theater, and a community center.

Bring back the old Deseret Gym in the parking lot where it used to be.
